A major Australian law firm is expanding its class action lawsuit against Uber, which could make it the largest settlement in the country’s history.
Maurice Blackburn Lawyers is expanding its lawsuit nationwide. It now encompasses taxi and hire car drivers in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, and Western Australia.
Maurice Blackburn claims Uber operated illegally, which caused extensive loss and damage to taxi and hire car operators. The lawsuit will claim Uber exploited people by operating outside of regulations.
